DrPRAKASHJTranslational Health Science and Technology InstituteIndiaNanobiotechnology(Nanomedicine filed) my aim to develop low cast bandages. The industry/customer need for low-cost and accelerated wound healing patches provides promising commercialization for the planned research work. The developed wound dressing is expected to have better biocompatibility for a wide range of skin wounds and burns, thus having a broad scope of application. The strong antimicrobial and inflammatory actions of the polymer nanocomposites in the hybrid patch would result in effective wound dressing for rapid reepithelization and tissue regrowth with minimal or no loss of skin strength. Thus, a new class of active wound dressing patches with superior properties and new functionalities would be available for biomedical industries and consumers.Young Scientist Award
