Prof. Dr. Yanlong Tai is a distinguished researcher and professor at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), CAS, China, where he leads the Smart-Sensing-Lab. He also serves as the head of the SIAT-Fudan University (Zhuhai) Joint Innovation Center and is a joint professor at the University of Science & Technology Shenzhen. He earned his PhD in Material Physics and Chemistry from Fudan University in 2012 and has held various research positions globally, including at OHM University in Germany, Masdar Institute in UAE, KAUST in Saudi Arabia, Fraunhofer ENAS in Germany, and UC Davis in the USA. His research focuses on the design and synthesis of smart materials and flexible perceptual devices for applications such as energy harvesting and interactive electronics. Prof. Tai has published extensively in high-impact journals and holds numerous patents. Prof. Dr. Yanlong Tai received his PhD in Material Physics and Chemistry from Fudan University, China, between 2009 and 2012. During his doctoral studies, he also spent time as a visiting student at OHM University in Germany in 2011, focusing on electronic materials. Prior to this, he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Polymer Materials at Anhui University, China, from 2001 to 2008.

Prof. Dr. Yanlong Tai has been a Professor at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China, since 2019. He also held several postdoctoral research positions, including at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST)
