His research thesis is titled “The Impact of High Salinity Water on Shale Fracture Permeability Evolution.” Kelvin is affiliated with the Australian School of Petroleum, Stanford University, and the American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA). He previously earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Civil & Structural Engineering from The University of Adelaide in December 2020. His final year project, “Monitoring Mine Roof Structural Health Using Piezoelectric Transducers,” was recognized with an invitation to the E-Commerce Awards Lunch for exceptional business model design.

🏢Work Experience:

Kelvin Bai is currently a Researcher at the Advanced Core Analysis Laboratory in Adelaide, SA, where he has been since January 2023. In this role, he has conducted research on the effects of drilling fluid penetration on reservoir rock and has led collaborative projects with Stanford University, analyzing extensive stratigraphic data. Previously, from May 2022 to December 2023, Kelvin worked as a Services Team Member at Coles Group in Glenside, SA. There, he contributed to store operations, developed training modules, and played a key role in improving store cleanliness ratings. Before this, he was a Cost Control Intern at Poly Developments & Holdings (Poly Australia) in Melbourne, VIC, from December 2019 to March 2020, where he assisted with the financial oversight of construction projects, managed project costs, and engaged in strategic negotiations.
