Jie Chen is a highly accomplished researcher and educator with expertise in the field of metallic materials. Holding a Doctoral degree in Materials Forming Engineering, he currently serves as a teacher at Wenzhou University’s College of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. With a rich academic background spanning from Shenyang University of Technology to Northeastern University, Jie has honed his skills in materials forming and control engineering, culminating in a focus on the preparation and processing of high-quality metal materials. Throughout his career, he has led numerous research projects, authored 12 academic papers, and secured over 10 invention patents. His research interests primarily revolve around laser processing technology for metallic materials, including surface heat treatment, cladding, and cutting, as well as the exploration of new metal materials through composition design and microstructure control. Jie Chen’s dedication to advancing the understanding and application of metallic materials underscores his commitment to innovation and academic excellence.

Jie Chen pursued his academic journey with unwavering dedication, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Forming and Control Engineering from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Shenyang University of Technology, where he studied from September 2009 to July 2013. Building upon this foundation, he continued his pursuit of knowledge by completing his Master’s Degree in Materials Forming Engineering at the esteemed State Key Laboratory of Rolling and Automation, Northeastern University, from September 2013 to July 2015. Driven by a passion for research and innovation, Jie further advanced his studies and attained his Doctorate in Materials Forming Engineering from the same institution, Northeastern University, from September 2015 to July 2019. Through these academic endeavors, Jie Chen honed his expertise in the preparation, microstructure, and properties of high-quality metallic materials, laying the groundwork for his impactful contributions to the field
Since October 2019, Jie Chen has been serving as a dedicated teacher at the College of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Wenzhou University. In this role, he brings his extensive academic background and research expertise to the forefront, nurturing the next generation of engineers and scientists. Through his teaching, Jie imparts valuable knowledge and insights garnered from his own academic journey, inspiring students to explore the intricate world of materials science and engineering.
