Prior to this, he earned an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Science Laboratory Technology from The Polytechnic of Ibadan. Olaolu (Samuel) Awobifa’s teaching journey spans across different regions of Nigeria and diverse educational settings. He served as a dedicated subject teacher, specializing in Chemistry, at various institutions including Baptist Academy Awe in Oyo-State, Government Day Secondary School in Tsanni, Katsina during his NYSC experience, and Jofia Group of School Academy in Ibadan, Oyo State. In his M.Tech thesis, Olaolu (Samuel) Awobifa conducted a meticulous assessment of pesticide residues present in the water and sediments of the Ala River. This research endeavor aimed to provide critical insights into the contamination levels of the river, essential for safeguarding both human populations reliant on the water for domestic purposes and the aquatic ecosystem inhabiting its waters.For his B.Tech thesis, Olaolu delved into the proximate composition and physico-chemical analysis of Scleria racemosa seeds. Through this study, he meticulously analyzed the nutrient composition, mineral content, and various physico-chemical properties of the seeds. Such detailed investigations are crucial for understanding the nutritional value and potential applications of this plant species, contributing to advancements in agricultural and food science research.
