Professor Dr. D. Kumar has built an extensive and illustrious career in academia, marked by his dedicated service to various prestigious institutions. Since March 5, 2010, he has been a valued member of the faculty at Delhi Technological University, where he currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry. His contributions extend beyond teaching, as evidenced by his leadership roles. Notably, he held the position of Head of the Department of Biotechnology at Delhi Technological University twice, first from April 1, 2015, to November 3, 2015, and then from June 1, 2016, to December 31, 2017. Additionally, Dr. Kumar served as the Head of the Department of Applied Chemistry from August 1, 2012, to May 31, 2016. Prior to his tenure at Delhi Technological University, he held the role of Associate Professor from December 31, 2006, to March 4, 2010, and previously served as an Assistant Professor (Reader) at Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi University, from December 31, 2003, to December 30, 2006, following his selection through the UPSC. Before his time at Delhi College of Engineering, Dr. Kumar made significant contributions as a Lecturer (Founder Faculty & Head) in the Department of Chemistry at Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut, from July 20, 2002, to December 30, 2003. His commitment to education is further evidenced by his adjunct/guest faculty role at Delhi College of Engineering for six academic sessions spanning from 1993-94 to 1998-99. Prior to these roles, he served as a Lecturer at GGD SD College, H.P. University, from October 15, 1992, to March 31, 1993, where he undoubtedly made a lasting impact through his teaching and mentorship. Dr. Kumar’s extensive experience and diverse roles reflect his deep dedication to the field of education and his invaluable contributions to the institutions he has served.
