Dr. Pravin R. Dudhagara is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biosciences, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat, India. Dr. Pravin R. Dudhagara completed his academic journey with a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan, India, spanning from 2008 to 2015. His doctoral thesis focused on “Polyextremophilic Microbial biodiversity and its biotechnological exploration.” Prior to his Ph.D., he earned an M.Sc. in Microbiology from the Department of Life Sciences at North Gujarat University in 2006 and a B.Sc. in Microbiology from Virani Science College, Saurashtra University, Rajkot, India, in 2004.

🏢Work Experience:

Dr. Pravin R. Dudhagara currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biosciences at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat, India. Since 2017, he has been actively involved as the Coordinator of the state government-sponsored Supercomputer facility at VNSGU. From February 2020 to May 2021, he served as the Coordinator of the Student Start-up and Innovation Policy (SSIP) Cell. Dr. Dudhagara has also contributed as a Board Member of the Adhoc Board of Biotechnology since December 2021. Starting in October 2022, he took on the role of Convener for Institutional Innovation Counseling at VNSGU, and since November 2022, he has coordinated the M.Sc. Microbiology and PGDMLT programs at the university.

Her pioneering work includes the isolation of a podophyllotoxin-producing strain of Fusarium oxysporum from Juniperus recurva and a camptothecin-producing Neurospora sp. from Nothapodytes foetida. She has delved into the therapeutic potential of Tanshinone IIA and explored the green synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles using Bacillus haynesii. Dr. Rehman’s contributions extend to the fields of antimicrobial and anticandidal activities, highlighted by her work on bioinspired ZnO NPs and spinel chromium-substituted copper ferrite nanoparticles.
