Dr. Mustafa Zor, born on August 21, 1986, is an Associate Professor and the Head of the Forestry Department at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, Çaycuma Vocational School in Turkey. He earned his Ph.D. in Forest Industrial Engineering from Bartin University in 2017, with a dissertation on the characterization of styrene maleic anhydride (SMA) composites reinforced with heat-treated wood particles. Dr. Zor also holds a Master’s degree in the same field from Bartin University, where he explored the use of heat-treated wood in garden furniture constructions. He completed his undergraduate studies in Forestry Industry Engineering at Istanbul University in 2008. Dr. Zor has been actively involved in various research projects, focusing on wood technology, wood polymer composites, and the mechanical performance of furniture joints. Additionally, he has held several administrative positions, including Director of the Gökçebey Mithat-Mehmet Çanakçı Vocational School. He also earned his M.Sc. in Forest Industrial Engineering from Bartin University, focusing on the use of heat-treated wood material in garden furniture constructions with an engineering design approach, supervised by Nurgül Tankut, in 2011. Dr. Zor completed his undergraduate studies in Forestry Industry Engineering at Istanbul University, Faculty of Forestry, in 2008.
