Ph.D. candidate at IIT Bombay since January 2018, Dr. Ruchira Nandeshwar specializes in optical sensors for protein and DNA detection. Her groundbreaking work on carbon nanoparticles and myeloperoxidase interaction led to the first reported optical detection of MPO, resulting in a filed patent. She further pioneered colorimetric DNA detection and electrochemical sensing of SARS-CoV-2 spike proteins, earning her multiple patents.
Expertise:
With extensive analytical tools proficiency and a solid background in solid-state devices, Dr. Nandeshwar excels in SEM, TEM, FT-IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and more. She established a biosensing lab and demonstrates strengths in multitasking, leadership, and technical writing.
