Dr. Suriya Rehman’s research spans diverse areas with a primary focus on the isolation and identification of bioactive compounds from endophytic strains. Her pioneering work includes the isolation of a podophyllotoxin-producing strain of Fusarium oxysporum from Juniperus recurva and a camptothecin-producing Neurospora sp. from Nothapodytes foetida. She has delved into the therapeutic potential of Tanshinone IIA and explored the green synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles using Bacillus haynesii. Dr. Rehman’s contributions extend to the fields of antimicrobial and anticandidal activities, highlighted by her work on bioinspired ZnO NPs and spinel chromium-substituted copper ferrite nanoparticles.
