I am Dr. Chong-Bo Ma, a passionate and dedicated researcher in the field of Analytical Chemistry, currently serving as a Lecturer at Northeast Normal University (NENU), China. Born on May 21, 1986, I have embarked on an academic journey that spans various prestigious institutions globally.
Continuing my academic quest, I earned a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (2015-2018). The subsequent phase of my career involved postdoctoral research at Northeast Normal University (2019-2022) under the guidance of Prof. Ming Zhou, where I delved deeper into the intricate realms of Analytical Chemistry. In October 2022, I transitioned into the role of a Lecturer at NENU, where I aim to inspire the next generation of analytical chemists.

Commencing at Lanzhou University, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (2005-2009) and continued his pursuit of knowledge with a Master’s in Organic Chemistry (2009-2013). The breadth of his academic exposure expanded during an enriching exchange program at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and a visiting scholar position at the University of Texas at Austin, USA (2011-2012, 2013-2015). The culmination of his doctoral studies occurred at Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, where he obtained a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry (2015-2018). Post-Ph.D., Dr. Ma dedicated himself to further exploration as a postdoctoral researcher at Northeast Normal University (2019-2022), contributing significantly to the field. In a natural progression, he assumed the role of Lecturer at NENU from October 2022 onwards, marking the commencement of a new chapter in his academic career. I was honored with the “Outstanding Student Award” from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry in 2017, secured the “Best Poster Award” at the “First Electroanalytical Chemistry Interdisciplinary Forum and Chinese Academy of Sciences ‘Belt and Road’ International Cooperation Forum,” and received the prestigious “Weigao Scholarship” in 2018.

My research interests encompass a diverse spectrum within Analytical Chemistry. I specialize in the synthesis of advanced materials, including 2-dimensional laminar materials, quantum dots, and multifunctional nanocatalysts. Additionally, I explore the development of portable/wearable sensors and multifunctional porous materials, pushing the boundaries of innovation in health monitoring, environmental sensing, and personal electronics.
